Challenge
Initially, our challenge was to create a cohesive and scalable design system to ensure consistency across the NOWJOBS platform. As we became more integrated with the NOWJOBS team, new challenges arose:
- Developing new features for both app and web platforms.
- Conducting user testing and organizing focus groups to refine designs based on real-world feedback.
- Collaborating with the internal design team to ensure UX/UI best practices were embedded across the company.
- Launching a new web platform for business clients to manage job postings and workforce needs.
- Facilitating design sprints for new features while ensuring compliance with the latest EU accessibility regulations.
- Ensuring smooth handovers from design to development, maintaining design quality through implementation.
Maintaining design integrity and keeping the development process on track, especially during fast-paced iterations, remained a key challenge throughout the project.
Solution
We began by building a scalable design system that set the foundation for consistent development across the app and web platforms. As our role expanded, we worked on various crucial initiatives:
New feature development: We led UX/UI design for multiple new features, such as advanced job posting capabilities, enhanced user profiles, and a streamlined application process. These features were rigorously tested through user feedback and prototyping to ensure they addressed the needs of both job seekers and employers.
User testing and focus groups: Our team organized multiple rounds of user testing and focus groups to gather valuable insights, helping us prioritize and refine key features based on real user feedback.
Collaboration with the NOWJOBS design team: By joining the internal design team, we worked closely with the design manager and designer to streamline processes and share our UX/UI expertise, ensuring a unified design vision across all projects.
Web platform for customers: In addition to the mobile app, we played a key role in launching a new web platform for NOWJOBS’ business clients, providing them with a seamless and efficient way to manage job postings and workforce needs.

Accessibility improvements: As part of our long-term collaboration, we ensured the platform was fully compliant with new EU accessibility regulations, improving navigation, screen reader compatibility, and overall visual clarity for all users.
