Challenge

With the rising demand for transparency in environmental impact, Brussels Airport needed a way to inform travelers about their CO2 emissions in an engaging and accessible manner. The challenge was to create a solution that would effectively raise awareness and encourage travelers to make conscious choices while maintaining a seamless airport experience.

Solution

Together with Brussels Airport we developed a user-friendly kiosk interface that provides real-time data on CO2 emissions. By simply scanning their boarding passes or entering details, passengers can instantly see the environmental impact of their journey and other airport activities. The system also allows users to offset their emissions by contributing to environmental causes.

Impact

This initiative has helped Brussels Airport position itself as a leader in sustainability within the aviation industry. The kiosks not only increased passenger awareness of carbon emissions but also encouraged active participation in carbon offsetting programs. As a result, the airport has strengthened its commitment to reducing its environmental impact and promoting greener travel.
